Organising a wedding abroad can be an exciting but daunting prospect. As a rule, your original British documents will require legalisation with an apostille by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) before they can be used abroad. You can find more information here. However, do bear in mind that it is ultimately down to the discretion of the relevant authorities as to whether legalisation is required. Therefore, it is recommended you contact the appropriate authority for advice on this process.
